ICOMOS is a non-government professional organisation formed in 1965, closely linked to UNESCO and with national committees in some 100 countries. Australia ICOMOS was formed in 1976 and acts as a national and international link between public authorities, institutions and individuals involved in the study and conservation of all places of cultural significance.
While aimed at professional, institutional and student members of ICOMOS the conference aims to have a broad appeal to those in related industries and those who may be interested in becoming part of this influential world-wide organisation.
