INTRODUCTION

On behalf of the National Mediation Conference committee, we invite you to join us for the 9th biennial conference to be held in Perth, Western Australia in September 2008.

The conference is widely acknowledged as the leading Australian gathering of mediation practitioners, researchers and trainers. Delegates from industry, the community sector and government, will join eminent Australian and international mediation professionals to continue the development of mediation and related processes in Australia and beyond.

The theme for the 2008 conference "Transforming the Landscape" has provided opportunities for presentations on a wide range of topics, one of which is accreditation of mediators. Presentations from an ensemble of outstanding keynote and invited speakers will be complemented by concurrent sessions offering more than 60 papers, workshops and posters.
