introduction On behalf of the conference organising committee, I have great pleasure in inviting your participation in the Public Works Engineering Australia WA State Conference 2009. The aim of the annual conference is to build knowledge, networks and participation in the development of an exciting future in public works engineering. In 2009, the conference will focus on how public works engineering is adding value to our communities. Let's showcase what public works has to offer and promote our 'success stories'.
