POST GRADUATE WORKSHOP
Tuesday 24 November 2009

Purpose
The 2009 State of Australian Cities (SOAC) Organising Committee cordially invites postgraduate research candidates (PhD/MSc/MA) to attend the inaugural SOAC pre-conference Postgraduate Workshop 2009.

The workshop seeks to attract early career researchers from a wide range of disciplines (e.g. geography, planning, sociology, political science, health, environmental sciences, etc) whose research relates to the meta-theme of the conference.

The workshop will give postgraduate candidates and early career researchers the opportunity to meet and network with conference keynote speakers, fellow postgraduate candidates and early career researchers. Interactive sessions will be run by keynote speakers, journal editors, PhD examiners and, of course, their peers on the following topics:

o   Current issues and trends in city policy and planning;
