Dinner Speaker
Angela Rossen is an artist whose main focus is the ocean and coast. She is currently Artist in Residence with the Oceans Institute at the University of Western Australia. Angela RossenHer work can be seen at www.angelarossen.com.

Angela presents Environmental Science Art Workshops with school children and community groups throughout Western Australia. She will be talking about these grass roots community projects which bring schools together with marine science PhD students and existing community naturalist and volunteer groups to generate conservation awareness and action.

In these practical hands on workshops participants engage with nature in ways that are fun, affirmative, creative and involve them proactively in conservation practices relevant to their lives.

Angela says “ We must show children the beauty and wonder of nature so that they will love it for its own sake and want to conserve it”.
