Conference Venue & Location
The conference and exhibition will be held in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia at the Burswood Convention Centre and Resort, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood. Please note that all conference and accommodation enquiries should be directed to the Secretariat, Promaco Conventions.
Overlooking the Swan River and located approximately five minutes by taxi from the city centre and 15 minutes by taxi from Perth’s domestic and international airports, the Burswood Convention Centre and Resort is one of Perth’s premier convention, exhibition and accommodation centres. Coach transfer services operate from both airports during the day.
Perth is located on Australia’s Sunset Coast between the vast expanses of the Swan river - named after the unique black birds discovered there more than 160 years ago - and 400 hectares of natural bushland of King’s Park. In its architecture and layout, Perth reflects its early history of European settlement, yet its cosmopolitan atmosphere owes much to recent decades of multiculturalism. With a current population approaching 2 million, it is Australia’s most rapidly growing city, hosting the same range of facilities found in Sydney or Melbourne, but preserving a relaxed ‘outdoor’ lifestyle, where tourists and locals alike can enjoy its Mediterranean climate, broad sweeping beaches, numerous sporting events and proximity to vineyards and wildflowers in the hills to the east of the city.
Perth is one of the most beautiful cities in Australia. Add a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene, an enviable range of sporting activities and world class entertainment and you have the sort of magical destination worth leaving home for.
All the conveniences of modern life are available in Perth, with plentiful shopping, attractions and activities. Whether you prefer to simply enjoy the world class facilities at Burswood Resort including a game of golf or a visit to the casino, sail on the river, visit the busy port city of Fremantle or the beautiful wine growing region of the Swan Valley, there is a tour to suit everyone.
We hope you find these links useful in planning your trip to Perth.
