MOORA (Shire of Moora) Moora, on the banks of the Moore River, 180 km north of Perth on the Midlands Road (State Route 116), is in the heart of the Midlands District. The Town stretches across clay flats deposited by an ancient waterway. The area was originally covered by a large salmon gum forest. Many of these attractive trees can still be seen around Moora.
